Often referred to as the Balkenhol snaffle, this bradoon has been used successfully for many years. There has been no change in its design as it fits the criteria as described by the research done by the University. This bradoon fills the needs of a horse who requires a broken mouth snaffle, but at the same time is shaped so as to minimize the nutcracker action while still being a bit stronger than the three piece snaffle.
